AMED TIMES - An important meeting will be held regarding the social media platform Instagram, which was shut down by the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) on 2 August. The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and Instagram officials will meet today at 13:00.
Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, who informed about the blocking of Instagram in Turkey on Friday, announced that he had a meeting with the platform's officials last week.
Uraloğlu stated, "At the meeting, we expressed our concerns regarding compliance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey. We will meet with them again this afternoon. We hope that they will take the necessary steps to respond to our demands and we expect positive developments."
