AMED TIMES - The Diyarbakır branch of the Öz Sağlık-İş trade union celebrated 1 May, the International Day of Unity, Struggle and Solidarity. Ahmet Dinç, the Diyarbakır Provincial Chairman of the Hak-İş Confederation, read out the press statement on behalf of the union members who gathered in front of a square in the central Yenişehir district. He explained that they have been standing in the squares on May Day, the International Day of Unity, Struggle and Solidarity, for 48 years, fighting for the rights of work and sweat, against the cost of living and poverty, for tax justice and for the increase of trade union organisation.
Dinç also mentioned that they have been standing in the fields for 76 years to draw the attention of the whole world to the massacres, occupations and oppressions by Zionist Israel on Palestinian territory and to call on the international community to end these oppressions. as HAK-İŞ, we want Zionist Israel and the murderer Netanyahu to be severely punished before international law. We condemn and curse the European Union, the USA and their puppets who remain silent about this genocide," he said. The press statement was attended by Mehmet Aküzüm, Chairman of Öz Sağlık İş, Ramazan Tekdemir, Chairman of Memur-Sen Province, Ercan Kahraman, Chairman of Hizmet-İş, Hidayet Meşe, representative of Öz Güven-Sen Province, and labour union delegations.
